1 PSI Blast Resistant Control Room Cabin, complete with
Detachable This unique 2 PSI rated blast resistant control room building serves a copper smelting facility in Utah, and was shipped in two pieces, at a total weight of 23,200 pounds. The tilt-out observation windows permit operators to clearly view smelting operations about 50 feet below the elevated position of this blast resistant building. Among other key concerns, this control room requires a high temperature paint finish due to the rise of excessive heat from the smelting operation, but the 1/8" plate steel walls, R-11 fiberglass batt insulation and a central air HVAC unit installed by the Client keeps the operators safe and comfortable. The entry vestibule provides an enclosed walkway between an adjacent office area and this blast resistant building, while a second door on the back side of the control room cabin permits access to a catwalk that also overlooks the copper smelting facility. |
