Hurricane Harvey and Parkline Delaney Road, Hitchcock Texas Operations Update
Updated September 13, 2017 – Employees, Factory and Offices Safe

September 13, 2017

Our focus remains on the safety of people and the on-time delivery of your projects.    Our business operation was spared from damage.   As you know, many other businesses were not as fortunate and our thoughts are with them.   All our suppliers expect to be back to full operations by the end of this week.   On Sept 7th, the Texas Department of Transportation cleared the first large load shipment outbound from our site.   Shipping routes remain subject to review and change.  We will continue to monitor and advise our customers.   Overall our business escaped the worst of this disaster.  Thankfully, we expect minimal disruption.

All our employees emerged from Harvey without injury.   Many experienced flood damages to their vehicles and homes.  Several have suffered significant or complete property loss. Your thoughts and prayers have been helping our team in Hitchcock.   Our team in WV sent a large box trailer full of food, cleaning supplies and water that arrived September 1st.   We continue to look for ways to support our employees as they work through their recovery efforts.

The impact of Hurricane IRMA is still being determined, but it is clear this is another major natural disaster.   Parkline does not operate any facilities in Florida or Southeastern USA.  We have several employees that live in the impacted areas and all have reported to be safe.   Our thoughts are with our many customers and their families that live in the area.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at 1 409 935 5743.

Thank you for your thoughts and concerns for our people, our business, and your projects.   We have been in contact with all employees and while many have suffered property damage, all are currently reported as safe.    Parkline will be starting a contribution drive specifically to benefit those employees who have suffered significant losses.  If you or your company would like to donate to this specific group, please check back later this week for details.  There are links at the bottom of this update for several donation sites.

I am relieved to report that our facility on Delaney road did not experience flooding in any of the manufacturing or office areas.  All projects in house are secure as of this update.

Our focus remains on the safety of people and the protection of your projects.   Due to restricted travel conditions in the area, we resumed limited operations on Tuesday, August 29th.    Inbound and outbound logistics and the condition of our suppliers’ facilities will be uncertain for some time.  We will monitor the changing conditions over the coming days and provide frequent updates.

We know that many of you in the local area are in the same situation, or worse.  Our thoughts are with you, your families and all affected by this disaster.   As we resume normal operations, our managers will be in contact with our customers to discuss any expected impact to projects.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at 1 409 935 5743.
